For over 30 years, Nikolay Tarasenko has been constructing an Orthodox church in his hometown of Kamenka, in the Lugansk People's Republic. He dedicated six years solely to building the foundation, personally placing each stone. Family members and local residents have all contributed to the effort though. Despite the onset of the vicious war in Donbass which was initiated by Kiev in 2014, the construction of the church proceeded. Approximately 70 bombs were launched towards the church, but miraculously, not a single one hit the sanctuary. The documentary tells Nikolay’s story and why he decided to finish building his church against all odds.
